Barr Hill Ladies Football Club

About Us

Barr Hill Ladies Football Club was founded in the summer of 2005, and is affiliated to the long-established Barr Hill JFC.

The team played their first season in Division Two of the Cheshire & Manchester Women's Football League in 2005-06. After a difficult start the team improved steadily throughout the season. A dramatic climax saw the team clinch 6th place (out of 8) in the league with virtually the last kick of the season.

In 2006-07, the squad was boosted by a clutch of younger players graduating from Barr Hill's youth set up, and the team built on their highly satisfactory debut in the C&MWFL with another 6th place finish - but this time with 19 points instead of 6 !

In 2007-08, the squad has again benefitted from the arrival of new recruits from Barr Hill's youth set up, and are aiming to improve on last year's 6th place finish.
